黄兆成 | Zhaocheng Huang
My name is Zhaocheng Huang also known as Hugh. I see myself as an international interdisciplinary designer with entrepreneurial in spirit. Ever since I started my design study, I wanted to build my own giant design firm, but that seemed like too big of a dream. However, soon after I was accepted into the design program at the University of Alberta, I created my brand identity Hughture Design in late 2013. In early 2014, I produced a crowdfunding campaign for a bottle opener design launched on Indiegogo. Even though the crowdfunding did not succeed, but I have gained tremendous experience in product design and development. After this failure, I started to reflect myself and focus more on design skilling building. In summer 2015, I traveled to Europe to see the big world out there. I went to design trade show, conference, festival, and Milan EXPO, my passion for design and travel has driven me to explore the world. At the same time, I have participated university summer program as well as visual communication design internship in Berlin, Germany. From early 2016, with more involvement in business courses, I started to participate in case competitions, also joined the Entrepreneurship Club at U of A, started attending entrepreneur events.
